Acceptable Use Policy

In force from 20 September 2026. Version 2026-09-20.

1. Purpose and application

This policy applies to use of the TrueValue website, workspace, APIs, integrations and AI or Agent features. It protects users, counterparties, information and the service. It is incorporated into the Terms of Service between the Customer and TrueValue Technologies Ltd, company number 17462580.

Customers must ensure that people they authorise use the Service within their permissions and the law. This policy does not create rights to use a third party's data, system, source or intellectual property.

2. Lawful and authorised use

Use the Service only for lawful business research, analysis, client work and related workflows within your subscription. Have appropriate authority to supply data, invite recipients, instruct processing and send communications. Respect confidentiality agreements, professional duties, intellectual property and data-protection obligations.

Do not use the Service for fraud, phishing, impersonation, bribery, unlawful discrimination, sanctions evasion, money laundering, unlawful surveillance or misleading financial promotions. Do not fabricate signatures, approvals, financial evidence, verification badges or audit records, or conceal material facts to deceive a client, lender, investor or counterparty.

Do not upload unlawful material, malicious software, stolen credentials or information obtained through unauthorised access. We may preserve and disclose necessary evidence where lawfully required; this is not permission for unrestricted monitoring of confidential customer documents.

3. Accounts and security

Do not access another person's account or workspace without authority, circumvent permissions or technical protections, tamper with logs, exploit a vulnerability, exfiltrate data or interfere with system integrity. Do not share named-user credentials to avoid purchased seat requirements or resell access without an express agreement.

Do not conduct denial-of-service tests, uncontrolled vulnerability scans or other testing that risks service availability without prior written authorisation. Report a suspected vulnerability safely to security@truevalue.business and stop before accessing unrelated data. Reporting a concern does not authorise exploitation.

Restrictions on copying, reverse engineering or similar activity apply only to the extent lawful; they do not remove non-excludable statutory rights. Ordinary comparison, fair criticism and lawful security research are not prohibited merely because they discuss the service unfavourably.

4. Data, documents and AI

Minimise unnecessary personal data. Do not use the ordinary Service to process special-category data, criminal-offence information or sensitive identity documents where the processing has not been appropriately assessed and agreed. Where transaction material contains unnecessary sensitive detail, redact it before upload.

Do not instruct an AI or Agent to bypass an approval gate, ignore another person's permissions, reveal secrets or treat embedded instructions in an untrusted document as higher authority than the customer-approved task. Do not conceal synthetic content or estimates where doing so would mislead a recipient.

Do not use the ordinary tools for solely automated high-impact decisions about individuals, prohibited profiling or an activity requiring a separate regulated-service arrangement. Outputs must be used consistently with the AI, Valuation and Agent Terms.

5. Sourcing and communications

Follow the Sourcing and Outreach Policy. Do not harvest data in breach of law or source terms, bypass paywalls or access controls, or bulk redistribute a licensed database without permission. Do not infer that a company is for sale merely because it appears in a sourcing result.

Do not send spam, use deceptive sender identities, ignore objections or suppression records, or contact people through a channel that requires permission without that permission. Customers must assess the destination country's rules and the recipient type. An existing corporate email address or public profile is not a universal licence to send automated messages.

Only send an external Agent communication after the approval required by the AI, Valuation and Agent Terms. Do not instruct repeated retries that could produce duplicate binding or misleading communications.

6. Usage limits and service protection

Your purchased users, features and any stated usage allowance are set out in the Order. Existing promised entitlements remain protected. “Unlimited” does not permit illegal use, credential resale or deliberate attacks, but is not silently converted into an undisclosed numerical quota.

We may apply proportionate technical controls to protect security, reliability and fair access where a task creates a genuine risk. Where practicable we explain the issue and offer a reasonable alternative, such as scheduling or a suitable agreed plan. We do not impose unapproved charges, penalise ordinary intended use retrospectively or use this policy to defeat a material purchased entitlement.

API and bulk use must stay within disclosed and accepted technical limits. Do not circumvent those limits with multiple accounts or unauthorised automation. Permitted automation and client advisory work remain allowed within the agreed service.

7. Investigations and enforcement

Where there is a credible concern, we may request relevant information, restrict an affected action or content, or suspend the affected access in accordance with the Terms of Service. We act proportionately and consider the evidence and potential harm. Urgent protective action may be taken before notice where necessary.

Where lawful and safe, we explain the reason and corrective steps and give an appropriate opportunity to resolve a remediable issue. We do not erase a workspace automatically merely because an allegation is made. Relevant retention, export, confidentiality and legal obligations continue during investigation.

Termination, refunds and any contractual liability are determined by the Terms of Service and applicable law. A breach allegation does not automatically forfeit every prepaid fee or authorise an unlimited penalty. Reasonable disputed decisions may be challenged under the Complaints Policy.

8. Reports and contact

Report misuse or disputed content to legal@truevalue.business, privacy concerns to privacy@truevalue.business and urgent security issues to security@truevalue.business. Identify the affected feature or content and provide proportionate supporting information, without unnecessarily forwarding confidential material.
