M&A Software Built for Modern Deal Teams

TrueValue is the AI-powered operating system for M&A: one workspace that carries a deal from the first CIM to the signed agreement, and an Agent that does the groundwork between each step so a small team can run more deals without adding headcount.

  • £399/month
  • Unlimited users and deals
  • TrueValue Agent included
  • No credit card required

What M&A software is, and what it is for

M&A software is the category of tools a deal team uses to manage mergers and acquisitions end to end: sourcing and screening opportunities, analysing what arrives, valuing the business, managing diligence and documents, and taking a transaction through to completion. It replaces the spreadsheet trackers, shared drives, email threads and point tools that most teams otherwise stitch together.

The category has grown up in pieces. There are CRMs adapted for deals, standalone virtual data rooms, valuation models in Excel, e-signature services, and a generation of AI assistants that answer questions about a document. Each solves one step. The cost of that is paid at the joins: a figure extracted from a CIM has to be retyped into a model, a diligence finding lives in an email rather than on the item it answers, and nobody can say with confidence what stage a deal is really at.

TrueValue is built as one record of the deal. The financials the Agent extracts from the accounts are the financials the valuation uses, the valuation is the one the IC memo cites, the red flag in diligence links to the document that raised it, and the stage on the pipeline is derived from what has actually happened. That is what makes the Agent possible: it can only do the groundwork if the ground is in one place.

Why deal teams run out of capacity

The constraint on most deal teams is not judgement. It is the hours of groundwork that sit in front of every decision.

  • The first pass eats the week

Reading an eighty-page CIM, spreading three years of financials, checking the story against the numbers and deciding whether it clears the mandate takes hours per opportunity. Multiply by the inbound and the pipeline is throttled by reading speed.

  • The same figure exists five times

Revenue from the accounts is in the CIM summary, the screening model, the valuation, the IC paper and the offer letter. When one changes, the others drift, and the version in front of the committee is whichever was updated last.

  • Diligence lives in email

Request lists go out as spreadsheets, answers come back as attachments, and the state of the process is reconstructed from a mailbox. Chasing is manual and inconsistent, so it happens late.

  • Nothing watches the deal between meetings

A counterparty going quiet, a data room nobody has opened for ten days, a diligence item overdue — these are visible in hindsight. Without a system reading the signals, the team learns a deal is drifting when it has drifted.

What TrueValue covers

Every module below is included in the one plan. Each has its own page with the detail.

  • Deal pipeline and management

A kanban and list view over every opportunity with stage gates, health scoring, momentum signals, tasks, milestones, approvals and a full activity record. Buyer-side and sell-side stage vocabularies.

  • AI CIM analysis

Upload a memorandum and the financials are spread, the red flags surfaced, the mandate fit scored and the missing information named — with every figure linked back to where it was read.

    AI CIM analysis
  • Valuation

Net assets, DCF, SDE, EBITDA multiple and comparable transactions, blended by sector weight, with sensitivity analysis and a committee-ready report. The arithmetic is deterministic; the AI writes the commentary and cannot change a figure.

  • Due diligence

Checklists by deal type, request lists the counterparty answers without an account, automatic chasing, evidence linked to every item, and red flags with severity.

    M&A due diligence software
  • M&A CRM

Contacts, counterparties, buyers and introducers with engagement scoring, synced mailboxes and every conversation filed on the deal it belongs to.

    M&A CRM
  • Data rooms

Folder-level access, watermarked viewing, NDA gating, buyer Q&A and analytics on who opened what — for the room you run and the documents you receive.

    M&A data rooms
  • Documents

NDAs, teasers, information memoranda, offer letters and IC memos drafted from the deal record, with a clause library and version history.

    M&A document management
  • E-signature

Envelopes with signers, approvers and viewers, sequential or parallel routing, identity checks, and a certificate of completion. Recipients need no account.

    M&A e-signatures
  • The TrueValue Agent

Reads what arrives, scores it against the mandate, runs the valuation and the returns, chases diligence, watches for drift, and brings you a decision with the evidence attached.

One workflow from source to close

The stages a deal passes through in TrueValue. The record, the analysis and the next action stay together at every one.

  1. Source
  2. Screen
  3. Value
  4. Decide
  5. Diligence
  6. Sign
  7. Close

The Agent works across all seven; a person makes every investment and transaction decision.

The fragmented way and the TrueValue way

A CIM arrivesSomeone reads it end to end, retypes the financials into a screening model and writes a summary. Hours, per document. The Agent extracts the financials, scores mandate fit, runs an indicative valuation and lists the red flags and the gaps. The analyst reads a first pass with the evidence attached.
The valuationAn Excel model per analyst, each with its own conventions. The committee sees one version; nobody is sure it is the latest.Five methods in one versioned engine, seeded from the extracted accounts, with every assumption recorded and the report generated from the same figures.
DiligenceA request list as a spreadsheet, answers in a shared inbox, status reconstructed by hand before each call.Request lists sent to the counterparty, answered without an account, chased automatically, with responses filed against the item and evidence linked.
Documents and signatureWord templates, a separate e-signature subscription, signed copies filed wherever they land.Documents drafted from the deal record, sent for signature from the deal, and the executed copy and its certificate filed back to it.
Between meetingsNothing. A drifting deal is noticed when it has drifted. The Agent reads reply times, data-room attention and outstanding items, and raises a drifting deal while there is still something to do about it.

How figures are handled

A number in TrueValue comes from one of two places: a document that was read, or an engine that computed it. The CIM analyser and the accounts extractor record what a document states and label what it does not; the valuation, returns, covenant and working-capital engines are deterministic, versioned and unit-tested; and the AI writes narrative around those figures without being able to alter one. Where the record does not state something, the product says so rather than filling the gap with a plausible estimate.

That discipline is what lets the Agent act with any autonomy at all. Every finding it files names the records it was read from, every figure it writes is checked against the figures it actually saw, and anything that leaves the workspace — an email, a signature request, a diligence request — waits for a person to click.

£399 a month for the whole team: unlimited users, unlimited deals, the TrueValue Agent included, and a 14-day free trial with no card. There are no modules to add and no seats to count, so a firm can put everyone on the platform who touches a deal.

Frequently asked questions

What does M&A software do?

It manages the work of a merger or acquisition from one record: tracking opportunities through stages, analysing documents such as CIMs and accounts, valuing the business, running due diligence, holding documents in a data room, generating and signing agreements, and reporting on the pipeline. TrueValue covers all of these in one workspace.

Is TrueValue a CRM, a data room or a valuation tool?

All three, on one record. The CRM, the data rooms and the valuation engine share the same deal, contact and document objects, which is what removes the retyping between them.

Who is TrueValue for?

Acquirers — private equity, search funds, independent sponsors and corporate development teams — and the advisers who sell businesses to them. The workspace runs in a buyer mode or an adviser mode, which changes the pipeline stages, the documents and the copy without changing the data.

How is it priced?

£399 a month for the whole team: unlimited users, unlimited deals, the TrueValue Agent included, and a 14-day free trial with no card. See the pricing page for the annual option.

Does the AI make investment decisions?

No. The TrueValue Agent screens, analyses, prices and monitors, and files proposals with the evidence attached. A person approves every action that leaves the workspace, and every investment and transaction decision is theirs. The Agent cannot invent a figure: anything it writes is checked against the records it read.

Can I try it on a real deal?

Yes. The free trial is the full product for fourteen days with no card. If you would rather look first, the demo workspace is the real product running on sample data, with nothing stubbed out.
